Festival of the Books and Comic Con Revolution

A big thank you to all who visited me both a Festival of the Books in April and Comic Con Revolution in May. I had such a blast at both events, mainly because of all the readers that stopped by and chatted with me.

One thing that never gets old is talking story, myth, and fandom with new people. Especially, when you are a writer like me who spends a lot of time in their own head at home. I am grateful to attend these types of events and have the opportunity to connect with authors, creators, professionals, readers, fans, etc. I will be attending SDCC this year and can’t wait for more amazing interactions with you all.

Today, I’m locked inside, working on bringing to life my first graphic novel project - a supernatural alternative MARY SHELLEY story. I’ve been working with Anna Wiesczcyk for the past year doing the art. We are ten pages from finishing, and Joel Rodriguez is working on lettering the book. I can’t wait to share more details but for now that is alI I can share. By July, I will launch a Facebook group around MARY SHELLEY and monsters so stay tuned for that. It will be a place we can share our favorite quotes, books, movies, memes, etc about MARY SHELLEY and monsters.

Making comics is the best. It can be hard and frustrating but when you find folks who are talented and down-to-earth, few things beat it. Looking forward to meeting more of you face-to-face. Until the, keep pursuing your passions while making this world a less frightening place.
